Thanks to the very generous support of dear family, friends and supporters I’m just £335 short of the £3000 I need by midnight tonight – 1 HOUR 27 MINS!! – for Hubbub to release all the generous pledges that I have received.

Thank you so much for generous donations to help me raise fees to take up my place at Royal College of Art, MA Sculpture/Performance.

I’ve received a generous cash donation this morning (THANK YOU!) and so the total is now £2218 so just £782 to raise by MIDNIGHT today!

Thank you so much much to my kind and generous sponsors for your pledges to support my dream to take up a hard-won place at the Royal College of Art at the end of this month. I can’t quite believe I’ve been pledged £860!!! xxxx

I very nearly didn’t apply, fearing the idea was ridiculous and I’d left it too late, but I went ahead anyway. I thought it was important for my students too that I practice what I preach. I’ve come so far, it would be disappointing to miss out on this opportunity of a life-time because of lack of funding. I am working hard to get to £3000, that’s the amount I need to pay RCA when I enrol and the amount that I need to get to in order to keep the pledges I’ve already received.

A taste of my own coaching medicine – 11 days to go!

Inspired by the brave steps and amazing progress of my coaching clients, I decided it was time to take my own advice and follow my dream to go to the Royal College of Art.

I am Isobel Smith, an artist/puppeteer known through my cutting-edge puppetry company Grist to the Mill, and courses at the recently co-founded Brighton Puppetry School.

As well as my own practice I am passionate about championing the creativity of others. Over the past four years, through my Flying Club Creative Coaching, I have inspired, enabled, cajoled and ra-raa’d the artistic ambitions of others – witnessing exciting adventures as they launched their creative journeys, and as New Year 2015 came in I began to feel that it was time for me to embark on a new chapter and try a dose of my own coaching medicine! I followed the Flying Club Process that had worked so well for others, slaying fears, discarding excess baggage and daring to begin …

I was over the moon to be awarded a place to study Sculpture/Performance at the prestigious Royal College of Art, London.

The two year full time MA starts this September 29th, it costs £9,500 a year and I’m delighted to have been granted a RCA bursary of £3000. I need £3000 so I can take my place on 29th September and the rest in January 2016. I have launched a HUBBUB campaign to raise much needed funds so I can afford to take up my place.
